Draco’s Chickpeas!

Chickpeas/garbanzo beans = a versatile bean. You can make lots of different things with it: hummus, falafels, flour, pasta, etc. They also have lots of nutrition.

I finally got Draco to eat beans happily and on his own and it’s by making Draco’s chickpeas, specially designed for Draco!

I eat it too, it’s delicious.

Cooking time + Preparation = approximately 1.5 - 2 hours

Tools:
• Pot with lid
• Large salad bowl
• Fork or masher
• Paring knife
• Chopping knife

Ingredients:
• 1 16 oz bag of dry garbanzo beans/chickpeas
• Filtered water
• 1/4 of a large red onion (chopped tiny) or equivalent amount of another type of an onion
• 3 avocados (mashed)
• Salt (desired amount)
• Pepper (desired amount)

Instructions:
Boil the beans until done (per the label). Drain all the water. Mash the beans.
In a separate bowl, put in chopped onions and mix with the mashed avocados. Combine avocados and onions to the beans and mix well. Add desired amount of salt and pepper.
Serve and enjoy!

This is what it looks like but not the full yield because I had already fed Draco a whole bunch.

Draco’s Power Salad

First Draco’s salad and then all the policy behind the salad.

Serves 1 Large Dog (he/she needs 4 of these per day plus protein. The protein can be cooked. You can give the protein using nuts or beans.)

Tools:
• Paring knife (or a chopping knife + cutting board)
• Large salad bowl
• Fork (to mash the avocado with)

Ingredients:
• Cabbage (1/4 of a small head of cabbage). Can be red cabbage or green cabbage.
• Cucumber (1/4 of a cucumber)
• Onion (1/4 of a large white onion or red onion)
• 1-2 carrots (peeled first)
• 1 avocado (slice it first, then mash it into it, and mix it in)
• Salt & pepper (desired amounts)

Directions:
1) Chop up each vegetable into tiny little pieces. Save the avocado for last. Once you put the avocado slices in, mash the avocado first, then mix it all together.
2) Serve and enjoy! (Both of us are eating this salad. I make one for him and for me each time).

Your dog is going to have to be forced fed (gently and lovingly) in the beginning (first 30 hours) until he/she sees how great it is. Your dog is going know right away that it’s extremely healthy, but it still violates their instincts and it takes a little while for them to eat it voluntarily. My dog started eating at voluntarily within 30 hours. Day three and he’s still eating and out of my hand but voluntarily though.

Now for the policy:

The most important part of about veganism is you have to add the raw element to it. When you cook vegetables, it kills most of the nutrition that’s in it. However, when you eat it raw, all the nutrition is in it.

The source of this life-altering information can be found in this book below, “Bragg Healthy Lifestyle Vital Living to 120!”

We don’t have a juicer, so we’re improvising by cutting veggies ultra tiny. Cutting veggies ultra tiny is the secret to make the best salads. Not only are they healthier (because it’s smaller pieces that are digesting quicker, and absorb quicker into your bloodstream) but they also taste the best because you’re getting all the different flavors all at once and one bite.

Update:
48 hours into it and Draco is now eating his power vegan salad, right out of his bowl:
